2G iPhone Help: Do you cancel the update on 3.0 jailbroken phone! How?
My iPhone 2G 2.2 is jailbroken and I was iTunes and one of the applications that I wanted to download was not "compatible" with my phone. I went online and found that if an application will not download it, then I might upgrade to 3.0. After all the installation was I actually went back on to iTunes and it says I have to do more to activate it. I continued with everything I asked for the last 4 digits of my Social Security number and billing zip code. Now I want to cancel the update, so I continued by pressing and then go back and cancel, when I disconnected my phone, bam, it's always the same page as was when the installation was underway. I even tried to turn it off and on, but nothing helped. What do I do now? I do not wish to continue with the upgrade to 3.0. Thank you! Obama.

So do I change my settings to not have the iPhone data plan more because it will not be an iPhone more? Your contract is with AT & T. Selling your iPhone does not change not your legal responsibility under the contract. It does not matter if you use an iPhone or a free, basic phone or no phone at all, you are contractually responsible for the iPhone data plan over the two years of the contract. After that, you are still responsible for the data plan since this is an unlocked iPhone on the network as an iPhone (I know, I had one). As to unlock your phone if it is being 3.1.3 Implementation, which may not be possible – at least not now.

You can do what is called "jailbreaking" it. This will allow you to do things like install applications for free (no thanks to the App Store, though). 1) Use a homebrew software (without opening the housing / void your warranty)
There are many ways different from getting a R4 DS running homebrew software (applications and amateur home and the games you download from the Internet), but many them require hacking equipment or other measures as complicated as a short circuit around the son of R4 DS firmware.
The simplest solution is to buy Slot-1 card, of which there are a number available. The CycloR4 DS Evolution, which sells for about $ 50-60, is the best overall all-in-one solution, but it also requires the purchase of a MicroSD memory card (a 1 or 2 GB is perfectly adequate and can be had from a number of sources online for about $ 10 each.) is by far the easiest solution, as you just drag and drop downloaded. Once done, however, It is simply a matter of connecting a GPS receiver and running a small program (again through homebrew DS methoR4 described in Section 1 of this article), which uses Google Maps to display the position. It is a relatively new hack and the author still wants to clean his code completely outposts, but we'll see this link when it is ready.
